The opportunity

A new opportunity exists for an energetic and results-focused Full Stack Developer to join our Technology team at Accelerate.


Reporting to the VP Engineering, you will work as the Full Stack Developer in the Technology team at Accelerate. As part of a cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing future-proof solutions that best meet the technical and operational requirements of the business and the users.


The role can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide with the opportunity to work remotely from home.


What you will do


As the Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing new features (front, middle and back-office), building linkages between internal and client systems, and maintaining current platforms. To create fully functional and robust solutions which are embedded or integrated with our various platforms.


Key responsibilities:


  • Work collaboratively with the internal development team, product managers and external vendors to ideate software solutions based on a project brief
  • Implement future-proof solutions that best meet the technical and operational requirements of the business whilst optimising quality, performance, security and maintainability
  • Design, develop, test and document software and systems that are performant and maintainable
  • Design user interactions on web pages working alongside graphic designers for web design features
  • Developing back end services that will serve both external and internal website applications
  • Design, write, develop and implement effective and scalable web service APIs.
  • Create and ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, data protection, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions
  • Partner with data scientists and analysts to improve software meeting both technical and user needs
  • Delivery of project from conception to finished product.


About you


You will have:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role in a commercial environment with
    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • 3+ years working within an agile/lean delivery framework (Scrum, RUP, XP, DSDM, SAFE)
    • Strong technical foundation and experience with:
      • advanced structured programming such as Java, PHP, C#, C++, LAMP, Node.js, MEAN, MERN, WISA, React
      • Enterprise platforms to achieve business goals (Liferay, Salesforce, AWS, SharePoint) or equivalents.
      • API technologies (HTTP, REST, GraphQL)
      • JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, Knockout, Backbone, Durandal, Meteor, Node, Require or AMD
      • OO concepts, unit testing, TDD, refactoring techniques, continuous integration, standard messaging, and communication protocols
    • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, software engineering, science or related are required and relevant certifications within Information Technology/Computer Systems Technology will be highly regarded.

Highly motivated and client-focused individuals with experience building, nurturing and growing a service-based relationship/partnership specific to the higher education sector. This is a remote position, located in the USA.

What you’ll accomplish

  1. Onboarding new university partnerships onto the EduCo Accelerate digital international student recruitment platform
  2. Manage the EduCo Accelerate international student recruitment pipeline on behalf of the college/university partner
  3. Have oversight responsibility for the overall client relationship between EduCo Accelerate and a college/university partner
  4. Reinforce and support the overall Accelerate value proposition with college/university partners in order to provide optimal results and secure follow-on contract extensions

The right fit

You have…

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years’ experience working with CRM platforms within a college/university environment or within
  • Focused on servicing post-secondary institutions (e.g., consulting groups, recruitment services, educational publishers, etc.)
  • 5 years’ experience focused on tracking, evaluating, and managing data focused on outcomes
  • 3 years’ experience managing relationships at a college or university
  • For incumbents without college/university admissions/enrolment experience, proven work experience as an effective account manager and relationship manager in a relevant industry
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence multiple stakeholders at different levels of an organisation
  • Background and experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple accounts.
