Vocational courses with paid internship opportunities

Paid internship opportunities are open to students of Arbutus College through the institution’s co-op placement program where students can specialise in vocational courses in hospitality management, business management, marketing, international trade or translation.
Arbutus College is a British Columbia Education Quality Assurance (EQA)-designated institution and is accredited by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) which has been providing co-op placement opportunities. It is also affiliated with the Canadian Institute of Management, Forum for International Trade Training and the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
“Since 2002, we have been delivering courses to help students succeed in the global workplace through our comprehensive curriculum and co-op placement programs,” says Dr Alfredo Vazquez, director of Arbutus College, “and students can have the flexibility to enroll in their chosen field at any time of the year with our 12 intake schedules.”

Looking out for paid internship opportunities

Dr Vazquez also urges students to look for paid internship opportunities where available and take advantage of the College schedules that allow for flexibility to students wanting to work part-time or fulltime during study breaks.
Job search engines and message boards regularly come up with paid internship opportunities for post secondary education students or recent graduates. They can check out Indeed and Simply Hired, two of the most popular job sites. They can also sign up for job alerts and get an idea of average base salaries in Glassdoor.
