International student Magdalena Opalinska, a Master of Business Administration student of Southern Cross University Melbourne campus, made it to the 2018 student ambassadors list of Study Melbourne.
Opalinska is one of the 22 ambassadors who will be involved in organising student events for international students and representing Study Melbourne at official functions.
The Study Melbourne Ambassadors program is a Victorian government initiative for students and alumni to help them “gain valuable volunteer experience and develop leadership, interpersonal and marketing skills while they are involved with the program.”
In her social media post, Opalinska excitedly announces, “We [Study Melbourne Ambassadors] will share our experience, knowledge and insights with the international student community.”
She adds, “I will proudly represent Poland and SCU Melbourne as the only ambassador from this country and this institution. I am super excited and cannot wait to start contributing to this amazing program! It is an honour to represent students for this amazing state!”
As a photography buff, Opalinska loves to spend her weekends exploring Victoria and taking photos of interesting people, places, things and wildlife that represent a diverse Australian culture. She also uses this time to meet more people from all walks of life. As a Study Melbourne Ambassador, she will also be able to use her photography and people skills as she shares her experiences with the wider community of international students.
