Southern Cross University’s Melbourne and Sydney branch campuses have launched the Employability Quest, a new program designed to help prepare international students for the Australian job market.
Designed by students, for students, and in close consultation with major industry partners, including Westpac, Infosys and PWC, the program will give SCU Melbourne’s and SCU Sydney’s students the skills they need to be job ready.
With a surplus of graduates entering the workforce this program aims to give students a competitive edge. Many universities do not provide industry-relevant skills for their international students; Southern Cross University is changing this. By having highly developed communication, creative and team skills, plus direct experience with industry, students’ confidence will be strong and their resumes will look amazing.
As part of the quest, students will embark on a series of challenges, workshops and industry engagement activities. It has already proven to be very popular with students, and we encourage our partners to discuss the program with any potential SCU Melbourne or SCU Sydney students they may have.
