Scholarships are currently available for new international students in EduCo-owned and partner institutions in Australia – Strathfield College Melbourne and Sydney, CIC Higher Education Melbourne and Southern Cross University Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
The scholarship comes in two categories: (1) non-academic scholarship and (2) academic excellence scholarship. Non-academic scholarships are offered to all new international students by the three institutions. Academic excellence scholarships are offered at Southern Cross University and CIC Higher Education.
These scholarships are being offered by CIC Higher Education, Strathfield College and Southern Cross University for new students who meet certain eligibility requirements. Application forms are available in the respective campuses and in their websites.
Strathfield College is offering a scholarship grant of up to $300 on a year’s tuition fees for international students. It is available until November 2019. As a vocational education and training (VET) provider, Strathfield College places an emphasis on equipping international students with practical skills and competencies in a friendly, close-knit environment. It offers courses in Tourism and Hospitality, Business Administration and Information Technology. Student admission is year-round with eight intakes a year and an average annual tuition fee of $6,420.
CIC Higher Education will automatically consider new students for a scholarship grant of up to $1,500 on the first year tuition fees for the May 2019 intake with the deadline for application on 3 June. For the August 2019 intake, the deadline for application is 19 August 2019. The scholarship is not valid for previous CIC students or those that have already been issued a Certificate of Enrolment. CIC Higher Education is a specialist higher education provider in Melbourne which offers bachelor’s degree programs in Business with majors in Accounting, Management and Marketing.
Southern Cross University. For international students applying to study at the Melbourne, Perth and Sydney campuses, Southern Cross University offers scholarships ranging from between 7% and 15% of their first-year tuition fee. This is available for offshore applications from citizens of countries within Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa for the 2019 intakes. Interested parties may contact the EduCo representatives assigned to their region for details.
CIC Higher Education. CIC offers academic scholarships of up to $2,000 for new offshore international students from selected countries. The deadline for application is on 3 June for the May 2019 intake and 19 August for the August 2019 intake. Southern Cross University. Southern Cross University Melbourne, Perth and Sydney campuses have allocated up to $9,000 merit award for new international students. Once they qualify, the amount will be applied against their first-year tuition fee. According to Lorraine Ge, manager of the Admission Assessor Team of Southern Cross University’s Sydney, Melbourne and Perth campuses, there is a limited number of academic excellence scholarships available but all new students can apply. The scholarship program for offshore applications for the 2019 intake is based on a rigorous screening process. The application deadline for all Southern Cross University scholarships is 30 June.
