Exciting opportunities await high-performing students at EduCo's Canadian institutions

EduCo institutions in Canada are offering Admission Grants of up to C$10,000 to high-performing international students for the October 2019 intake. Acsenda  School of Management is giving away scholarships of up to C$10,000 while Arbutus College is offering admission grants of up to 40% of tuition fees for eligible students. The intake date is 30 September.
According to Tanja Milosevic, EduCo marketing director for Canada, admission grants vary per source market so education agents should get in touch with their respective regional representatives for details. Students who wish to qualify for the grants should fulfil the following entry requirements.

Acsenda School of Management

High-performing international students need to comply with the entry requirements in order to be considered for admission. This applies to all new students who are planning to enrol in Acsenda’s diploma and degree programs.

  • A copy of the student’s passport
  • A copy of a valid study permit (for students who are already in Canada)
  • Proof of graduation from a high school or equivalent program with a grade of C+ (65%) or higher
  • Proof of having met the English requirement
  • Proof of having met the Mathematics requirement
  • Official transcripts, diplomas and certificates with a certified English translation
  • A completed and signed application form
  • A non-refundable application fee of C$150

English Requirement. English is the language of instruction at Acsenda School of Management. Prior to admission, students should demonstrate their English language competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing through any of the following:

  1. Graduation from grade 12 with a minimum grade of 65% or better in English 12 Composition or English Literature or an equivalent course from a school in a country where English is the principal language of instruction.

  2. Graduation from grade 12 with a minimum grade equivalent to C+ or better in English 12 at an International School with English as the language of instruction. International schools that use English as the language of instruction but operate in countries where the primary language is not English include international baccalaureate diploma programs, schools that are accredited members of the Council of International Schools (CIS), US-regionally accredited schools and provincially-authorised schools offering full Canadian curricula to the grade 12 non-ESL level.

  3. Successful completion of six credits of post-secondary first-year English studies at a college or university where English is the language of instruction (although some restrictions will apply to programs in specific countries where English is the principal language).

  4. Graduation from a recognised degree program at an accredited college or university where English is the primary language of instruction. Restrictions apply to programs in specific countries where English is the principal language.

  5. Successful completion (normally within two years of the date of application) of one of the English Language Proficiency Tests:

  • TOEFL PBT 560 or iBT 84
  • IELTS Academic 6.5 (with no Band less than 6)
  • CAEL 70 (with no component less than 60)
  • PTE Academic 60
  • MELAB 80
  • CLB 8
  • CEFR C1
  • Acsenda School of Management’s English Placement Test (EPT) 80

Acsenda School of Management offers two levels of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) for students who do not meet the English proficiency standards but qualify for admission to EAP 3 or EAPP 100 programs.
Mathematics Requirement. Applicants must be secondary school graduates with the equivalent of British Columbia Grade 12 Diploma, a minimum average of C+ in Grade 12 courses, and minimum grades of C+ in Grade 11 Maths and Grade 12 English. Completion of Grade 12 maths is recommended.
An official Letter of Acceptance will be sent to international students who have also complied with the pre-paid tuition deposit equivalent to four courses. The tuition deposit is non-refundable.

Arbutus College

Arbutus College offers admission grants of up to 40% of tuition for certain regions. High-performing students are encouraged to apply in order to qualify. Once approved, the equivalent amount will then be applied against their tuition fees.
Students need to follow regular admission requirements and submit the following:

  • A duly-accomplished application form
  • A copy of student’s passport
  • High school or college/university transcripts
  • Proof of English competency equivalent to IELTS 5.0
