Maynooth University, Ireland’s only university town, won the coveted gradireland Higher Education Awards 2019 in the Best New Postgraduate Course category for its MSc Design Innovation (Food) degree program in the Department of Design Innovation. The awards committee cited the program for “creating world-class capability in insight-led innovation and design thinking.”
The university’s four other programs were shortlisted in the same event. They are as follows:
MSc Economic and Financial Risk Analysis, Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting for Postgraduate Course of the Year in Business, Finance & Management
MSc IT-Enabled Innovation, School of Business for the same category as above
MA in Mediation and Conflict Intervention, Edward M Kennedy Institute for Postgraduate Course of the Year in Arts & Humanities
MSc Climate Change, Department of Geography/ICARUS Research Institute for Postgraduate Course of the Year in Science
“The gradireland awards recognises Maynooth’s innovative and interdisciplinary master’s programmes, which grow organically from our strengths in the humanities, social sciences and science and engineering,” says Prof Maria Pramaqqiore, Dean of Graduate Studies after the five entries were included in the shortlist.
