We are pleased to introduce Rachel Lindhart, who has joined Brent Schmoker at our partner institution University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). As the International Student Engagement Coordinator, Rachel will be based in the New Student Enrollment Office (NSE) and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating all aspects of support for international students arriving at UNL including: assistance with pre-arrival tasks, support during enrolment and orientation, and offering regular office hours during the semester to help students meet their social, academic and professional goals.
UNL offers a fantastic array of support services to international students. Rachel will help students to persist in their studies, achieve academic success, and feel satisfied throughout their time at UNL by connecting them to the many opportunities available at UNL.
Rachel will be the main contact person for assisting students from the time they receive their visa to when they arrive in Lincoln for Orientation. As such, she will be working closely with the regional EduCo support staff based around the world to ensure that students complete their pre-arrival checklist. She will also be available to answer questions directly from students holding a visa for UNL.
Rachel will also help NSE expand the list of social and cultural immersion opportunities that the office is able to offer the university’s international student community.
To get in contact with Rachel, please email her at [email protected].
