With a score of 8.46 out of 9.0 in Gallup’s Migration Acceptance Index, Canada led the rest of the world as the friendliest and most welcoming country for migrants.
The study was based primarily on the perception of residents about whether the following three things were good or bad for them:
Of the Canadians polled by Gallup, 94% see migrants living in Canada as a good thing, 95% approve of migrants becoming their neighbours and 91% support migrants marrying into their families.
Canada remains ready to accept more than one million permanent residents by 2021, despite the onslaught of COVID-19. Its urban centres like Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal are home to diverse ethnic communities. Acsenda School of Management champions inclusivity and diversity, and believes they are crucial components of international thinking.
The rest of EduCo’s destinations made it to the top 10. Australia ranked #4 in Gallup’s Migration Acceptance Index, while the U.S. and Ireland placed #6 and #10, respectively.
