The International Foundation Programmes at DCU has moved to online learning for the remainder of this academic year. That means that students who joined us in September 2019 (for two semesters) or January 2020 (for one or two semesters) are now studying online.
In line with the guidance issued by the university, we are implementing an online-first approach to the remaining teaching for this academic year. Scheduled classes are continuing with tutors requiring students to register their attendance online. Teachers and students are using a range of familiar, synchronous and asynchronous software, including 1-1 and small-group video. Additionally, all assessments will be conducted online.
Students will not be required to return physically to the DCU campus this academic year. We will support students whether they decide to stay in Dublin or to go home. Our staff are checking in with all students regularly to support their pastoral needs.
The May 2020 (one semester) intake will not be open to new students. However, we are looking forward to welcoming new students, as normal, to the new academic year in the autumn.
