Student numbers from the top three source countries are as follows: 172,625 from India, 142,985 from China and 24,195 from South Korea.

The total number of post-secondary international students also increased by 17% from the 2017 figures listed at 370,975. As of 31 December, the total number is 435,415. According to the study, 96% of international students surveyed said they would also recommend Canada to family and friends as an ideal study destination.
