Australia is now the world's 7th best country

Australia has moved up one spot to #7 in the 2018 U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Countries” list, trading places with the United States, which is now at #8. The rankings were based on a survey among 21,000 respondents from across the globe who judged a total of 80 countries according to 65 different indicators. Each country was scored in the overarching categories of adventure, citizenship, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, movers, open for business, power and quality of life.
Aside from its overall “Best Countries” ranking, Australia is also #6 on the list of “Best Countries for Education”, thanks to its top-quality education and well-regulated education system. Australia even earned high marks in other U.S. News rankings like:
